What is Candida and what are some of the symptoms associated with it? Candida albicans, a common yeast, is part of the regular flora (bacteria) in the digestive tract. Cellulose is the structural component of cell walls. It is made up of long chains of glucose molecules. Chitin is resistant to microbial degradation. Medical sutures are made of Chitin because of the properties of strength and flexibility. Until now, there have only been attempts to find key nutrients that would attack the integrity of the cell membrane of C.albicans.
